Scams that directly affect the Accommodation Industry

For a many years now, our Company have been the front runners in fighting scammers that attempt to rip off the Accommodation Industry of Australia and New Zealand.

As at the end of 2008, it is estimated that we have assisted in removing approx $12 million worth of fraudulant credit cards from circulation, and with our association with law enforcement and the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI), we are always able to provide advice and assistance to members regarding existing and new scams as the information comes to hand.

SCAMS can be defined as a confidence trick, confidence game, or con for short (also known as a scam) in an attempt to intentionally mislead a person or persons (known as the mark) usually with the goal of financial or other gain. (google) While there are many types of scams and many different definitions, this one is broadly the most related in this industry.
